The Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) is a central hub for students, faculty, staff, and guests to connect on campus. It includes seven sub-departments within the Student Support Centers, such as the Financial Literacy Center and the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. Affinity Centers include the Pan-African Student Success Center, LatinX Center, First Peoples' Center, Queer and Transgender Resource Center (QTRC), APIDA Center, Undocumented Student Success Center, and Women's Resource Center. Additionally, the Rancho Mirage Student Center from the Palm Desert Campus has partnered with the SMSU Marketing Department.
During my tenure at SMSU, I collaborated with various sub-departments to help bring their visions of the event campus to life by creating and providing them with event marketing materials across both print and digital platforms. These exciting events bring together students, faculty, professors, department heads, and alumni to learn about various topics, including cultural awareness, educational issues, and career discussions, while also offering fun and engaging indoor/outdoor activities outside of the discussions. I have created over 20 projects throughout almost two years of work at SMSU.
